Where can I go dancing?
The Cranbury Country Dancers participate in contras and country dancing on the first and third Friday of the month (except July and August), at the Cranbury Community Chapel in Norwalk. All dances are taught and partners are not necessary. For details, call 203-226-6681 or 203-373-9320.
For American contra dancing, there are the Round Hill Country Dances on the second Saturday of the month (except August) at Round Hill Community House in Greenwich. The basics are taught and there is a live band and caller. For information, call 914-238-7911 or 203-762-5370.
Robin Poska’s Ballroom Magic (203-831-9382/ballroommagic.net) offers dance parties the first and third Saturdays at the Round Hill Community House in Greenwich. All ballroom dances are done, a half-hour lesson is included, singles and couples welcome.
The Palms in Stamford (203-961-9770/palmsnightclub.com) offers West Coast Swing, Latin, country and ballroom dancing.
Rhythm in Norwalk offers the Hustle — lessons and dance party — on Tuesday evenings and West Coast Swing on Wednesdays. Check swingshoes.net for details.
