What does the Chamber of Commerce do?
The New Canaan Chamber of Commerce, with offices at 91 Elm Street, has more than 400 members. The objective of the chamber is to provide New Canaan residents and business owners with up-to-date knowledge of everything New Canaan has to offer. The chamber also advocates for the business community by connecting the community with commerce.
Through town-wide events such as the Village Fair and Sidewalk Sale, New Canaan’s Taste of the Town Stroll, Annual Golf Outing, Halloween Parade, Holiday Lights Festival, and Holiday Stroll, the chamber strives to reinforce this commitment to the New Canaan community and local commerce.
In 2012, The Chamber of Commerce took the lead on the iB.l.a.s.t. Card effort, an incentive program designed to promote New Canaan’s local economy. By presenting the iB.l.a.s.t. card, you are entitled to special deals and savings incentives that businesses in town are offering only to card holders and the card may be used as many times as you’d like during the year. Networking membership meetings are held once a month.
