Is there a group that helps people find a job?
The New Canaan CaTS (Career Transition Support) is a free support group of volunteers offering assistance to those in job transition. It is sponsored by St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and the First Presbyterian Church. Meetings are held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. the first and third Thursdays of each month. Professional career counselors lead discussions on relevant topics often with break-out sessions for the participants. Networking time follows. The comprehensive website newcanaancats.org provides details on shortening the search time by using a 10-step process. For assistance, or to volunteer, contact William “Mac” Walker at 203-857-4625 or email@example.com, or Jill Ernst at 203-972-0329 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The St. Aloysius Employment Opportunities Group provides support and assistance in seeking employment opportunities and serves as a link to the greater St. Aloysius community for jobs. It meets at Stapleton Hall on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month. For more information, contact Bill Erickson at 203-434-0707 or email@example.com.
